Online Home Inspection Course

Missouri State Requirements

Missouri does not have any state home inspector certificate, licenseing or registration requirements.  However, some of the local jurisdictions may have their own requirements.

Home InspectionIt is advantageous to belong to a national organization such as the National Association of Home Inspectors ("NAHI") www.nahi.org  or the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) www.ashi.org.  These organizations require a certain amount of education hours and that you pass a home inspection exam in order to join.

While the numbers continue to grow, the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) estimates that 77% of the homes sold in the United States and Canada today are inspected prior to purchase.  This means that the market is still under served and that the remaining growth potential is considerable.
